How to do it?

I've seen this on a few screenshots and I would like to do the same on my desktop, but I have no clue how.
Could someone explain the steps in an easy to understand fashion on how I could achieve the same thing? I heard someone say it was using DesktopX, I have version 2.x something. TIA.

You need to put C:\ in the Path box. Or just hit browse and select the C drive. You shouldn't need anything in the "Start In" box. I just checked mine out and it works correctly and all I have on that page is c:\ in the Path box.

Yeah you can.
Apparently I can save the individual icons from the .icl package with this Axialis IconWorkshop program, cool.
That's what I had to do in order to be able to select individual icons from an icon package. Just open the .icl file from the icon packager (not sure if it has one, I don't use icon packager) and select an icon from the list, then click on the export commands icon to the right of the px size/format dropbox and select export as png with transparency.

When you go to add the desklet, click on the + button next to the PidlShortcut, it should have my computer and the recycle bin there, just select my computer and then add.

I haven't restarted my computer since installing it. I did just save my theme though now that you mentioned it.
Other people who have used this for a while: when you restart and you have avedesk set to load on startup, does it load the icons and everything with all the current settings and remember where they are located on the desktop?
